Earlier this year, the Irish government relaxed bye-laws by allowing
lap-dancing in bars and pubs with no extra licencing constraints. To
the uproar of the National Youth Offense NYO (an emerging right-wing
politico-religious group), management of a small Dublin pub announced
that it would be the first to offer "special" dances for its clientele.

On opening day, festivities were abruptly halted as the pub was hijacked
by a heavily armed gang. Within minutes, the surrounding area was sealed
off by local police. Soon after, the police negotiator managed to secure
the release of all hostages except for the pub manager and four exotic
dancers. In return, the hijackers were granted live media coverage. The
gang leader described how "It is a fundamental duty of all god-fearing
citizens to stem the scourge of moral decline in our society! We shall
set an example to all low-life merchants of sleaze on this island!"

During his speech, he claimed the gang were acting as part of a new
hardline NYO initiative. This was flatly denied by a NYO spokesman at
the time.

Having then executed the pub manager, some of the gang relocated to the
adjacent community centre, announcing to the worlds media that the four
remaining hostages would be killed at 6pm sharp if their demands were not
met. Amongst their demands were assurances that the Irish government rush
through emergency legislation aimed at outlawing lap-dancing, sex shops,
internet access and other "sinful" activities.

Ill-equipped to deal with the escalating seige, the police had no option
but to request the assistance of the Irish national tactical force,
codenamed [TGF]. A number of elite [TGF] troops arrived on the scene
shortly thereafter.

Counter-Terrorists: This is an embarrasing situation for the government.
You have been ordered to get ALL hostages to safety and to neutralise
the terrorist threat. Lethal force has been authorised.

Terrorists: The world's media is watching. The personal sacrifice you
have made today will be glorified by moral god-fearing folk everywhere
for years to come. Martyrdom awaits!
